Ellee Jo is having a sleep over with her cousin tonight. Today is Maloree's birthday.

Let's give this another whirl!!!

I see that the last posting to this blog was in the spring of 2009. Jeanne and I were texting today. She asked how Ellee Jo was doing and I told her a lot of things which are going on with Ellee that are common here for us but would be interesting for the rest of you. That prompted me to get back on this blog and give it another whirl. This is the place for our family to "check in" and keep each other up to date. I am recommitting to add a little something - something at least one time a week. I am going to make this blog my home web page as a reminder to update often. I would encourage you to do what ever you need so that you can participate as well.

Are you sure Ellee's birthday is March 6? I must be confused again. I thought it was April 4. If it is March 6th, Happy Birthday. We hope Ellee is feeling better. We are doing well. i'm glad Tonia and Jeanne offical. From my own experience, I fully understand the emotions - Nothing has really change, yet everything has changed. Maybe Roy can better appreciate the way Lionel and I felt when our adoptions were completed. I'm posting a sweet picture of Keira (younger) and one of Lynn. Love you all, kjh

Game Over

Rachel has officially finished her basketball season. She did such a good job! Her team won 5 out of 6 games and she made the final basket of the final game of the season last Saturday...wish you all could have seen her face. It was priceless!! We've been very pleased with this City of Kennewick Parks and Rec program. The coaches have been awesome at teaching the girls skills and encouraging them to put them to use in the games. Everyone has equal time to play and it's a positive experience all the way around. She's looking forward to playing again next year.

Are we live?

This site seemed like a lot of fun in the begining. Somehow it has become inactive and I am going to try to be better about "checking in". The big news for all of us is that Toni and Jeanne are now officially and legally the children of Penni and I. We cannot express how happy we are with this "new addition" to our family. We are hoping to go to the temple to be sealed on May 2nd. Tonia is checking with her bishop to see if that date will work. If not we may have to wait until later. We will keep you posted.
Ellee Jo has been out of school since last Wednesday. she has been battling croup and a sinus infection. She had a fever of 104 degrees last Friday and almost ended up in the hospital. Yesterday her little face was very swollen and she may have to stay home from school another day tomorrow. she reports that she misses her teacher and her friends.

Hello from the Mendez Family! Cesar, Isaiah and I had a great holiday and we are getting back into the routine of things. Just checking in and reading the Hogan's Heroes blog. I'm also posting a super cute picture of Isaiah from his first Christmas. Enjoy!
