To sit at the feet of a Prophet of God!!

Decide now to make general conference a priority in your life. Decide to listen carefully and follow the teachings that are given. Listen to or read the talks more than once to better understand and follow the counsel. By doing these things, the gates of hell will not prevail against you, the powers of darkness will be dispersed from before you, and the heavens will shake for your good. Paul V. Johnson, The Blessings of General Conference, Ensign, November 2005, 50.

Please share your thoughts and testimony with us regarding this Conference Weekend. Please label your posts "General Conference" so they are easy to locate.

Love you!

Family Reunion 2011 Beverly Beach Oregon

Beverly Beach is popular for a reason! Like magic, a well-known walkway goes under the highway and emerges to the long expanse of sandy beach extending from Yaquina Head (you can see the lighthouse from here) to the headlands of Otter Rock. When the weather cooperates, kites color the air and whip in the wind. Bring a bucket and build a sand castle! Surfers often head to the north beach, while folks looking for fossils head south.

A few steps from the ocean you'll find the forest-sheltered campground. Giant, wind-sculpted trees and nurse logs surround the campsites strung along pebbly Spencer Creek. There is a Visitors Information Center located near the registration booth where you can also purchase books, souvenirs or educational toys. The children's playground is located next to the program area. The picnic area is a grassy, tree-lined spot protected from summer winds by a charming yurt group meeting hall. It's hard to believe all this is a few minutes drive from the Oregon Coast Aquarium, Yaquina Head and other prime attractions.

It´s round, filled with comfy furniture, and pointy on top. Yurts … a quickly-growing national phenomenon that broke in to the public camping scene right here in Oregon.

Hello

Hi. I am in the third grade this year. My teachers name is Mrs. Parks. I love school. I am taking piano lessons. I am in a singing group. My piano lessons are on Tuesday and then I go to singing. I am excited for basketball. I love you all and want you to tell me what you are doing.

sleep overs and birthday parties

Ellee Jo is having a sleep over with her cousin tonight. Today is Maloree's birthday.

Let's give this another whirl!!!

I see that the last posting to this blog was in the spring of 2009. Jeanne and I were texting today. She asked how Ellee Jo was doing and I told her a lot of things which are going on with Ellee that are common here for us but would be interesting for the rest of you. That prompted me to get back on this blog and give it another whirl. This is the place for our family to "check in" and keep each other up to date. I am recommitting to add a little something - something at least one time a week. I am going to make this blog my home web page as a reminder to update often. I would encourage you to do what ever you need so that you can participate as well.

Love you guy and can't wait to see you!!!!
